RoverSS Tech Information 


Rover Simple Scripter
This version will read a text file and execute instructions. Current commands are defined below.

mount comm           // mount a communications relay station 
mount samp            // mount a environment sampler to be dropped off
forward 32             // move forward 32 meters
back 32                 // move backward 32 meters
steer 20                 // turn the wheels any angle  -45 degrees to +45 degrees
turnto 90               // turn the rover to face 90 degrees on the compass
goto 10 100          // go to a map location given x and y
groundsample        // sample the ground at the rover current location
rocksample           // if rover is in range of a rock the sampler will activate
gprsample             // ground penetrating radar
waypoint  10 100  // client side light to indicate some x y location
stop                      // rover will stop at this location and execute next command
halt                       // rover will halt current mission

Other command are being considered at this time if you have any requests now is the time to let us know.


Mission Editor
We have added an in game editor to allow the user to plan the routes for the missions. The editor will have point and click route planner as well as a way to load, view and run scripts from the editor.
